La Grande Terche - Summer

 La Grande Terche is a small skiing village above the town of St Jean D'aulps in the Haute Savoie.
It is very close to Morzine and Les Gets and an hour's drive from Chatel - all of these offer many outside pursuits in the summer including Mountain Biking, white water rafting, para-penting, skate parks, swimming pools and lakes to name but a few.

The towns of Thonon and Evian on the shores of Lake Geneva (Lac Leman) are a short drive away and offer good shopping, good views and boat trips on the lake (and 18 hole Cazy Golf !! :-) .

The bubble lift in La Grande Terche is open 2 days a week in the summer and enables you to take advantage of the long and peaceful (and mostly downhill) walks from the top of the lift station.

The Fantasticable in Chatel (featured in video above) offers the ultimate (and fairly unique) zip-wire experience - several hundred meters above the ground and travelling at 100km/hour between 3 hill-peaks.
